The operation had expired medication for multiple children that has not been disposed of.

A diaper changing mat was torn and cannot be cleaned properly.

The operation did not report to Child Care Regulation when a threat was made to the operation that put children at risk.

Based on the information obtained, caregivers did not maintain adequate supervision of children in care.

A caregiver who does not have an active and eligible background check status had direct access to children in care during the inspection. Note - The caregiver left the operation during the inspection.

Staff's files evaluated did not contain documentation showing training was completed in the following topics: Handling Storing and Disposing of Hazardous Materials Understanding Building and Physical Premises Safety Understanding and Responding to Food Allergies Emergency Preparedness

A caregiver did not know the correct number of children present in their classroom during the inspection. The caregiver stated there were 17 children when there were actually 16 children physically present in the classroom.

A caregiver raised their voice telling a child to reach down into a basket and grab a blanket.

Documentation showing any limitations or restrictions on the child's activities was missing for 10 children's files evaluated during the inspection.

2 Food Allergy Emergency Plan's evaluated did not contain the physican's signature. 1 child with a documented food allergy did not have a completed food allergy emergency plan.

Documentation stating if a child has any adaptive equipment and instructions was missing on 10 children's files evaluated during the inspection.

1 child's file did not contain the address for the emergency contact person.

The parents rights information in the operational policies was incomplete.

Documentation showing one of the daycare drivers have completed Transportation Safety Training within the required annual review period was not available to review during the inspection.

Immunization records for 2 children's files evaluated were not current.

A caregiver pulled a child's arm telling them to grab a blanket from out of a basket during the inspection.

During a walkthrough, it was observed a 14 month old was inappropriately handled during nap time. The infant was observed to be pick up by their arms and brough to their nap area inappropriately.

One employee files was observed to be not current with their annual training.

During the walk through, a 14 month old infant was observed sleeping on a nap cot with a blanket covered their head. This was corrected when the caregiver was made aware and the blanket was uncovered from the child's head.

The current annual training certificates for the director were not available for review. The last training records were observed to be completed in 2023.

One caregiver from the infant classroom was observed present without having the completed background check determination.

A child was injured and required medical attention while playing on the playground.

Based on the information gathered during the investigation, the operation was cited due to a child in care being bit by ants while in care in the operation.

One of seven infants obsevered in a classroom did not have the updated feeding schedule renewed/signed by the parent.

One of two transportation vehicles electronic safety alarm did not working during the inspection.

Based on the information obtained during this investigation the operation was not in compliance as it pertains to this minimum standard citation.
