There were numerous torn used balloons and trash in the outdoor play area which pose a safety hazard for the children. Corrected at Inspection: The outdoor play area was cleaned during the inspection.

There was no additional employee present in the building during naptime.

There was one caregiver caring for 12 children. The specified age for the group was 2 years old which allows 11 to 1 caregiver. Note The ratios were left in compliance as an additional caregiver was put in the classroom.

There was not enough food for the children to have a second serving.

The infant daily report does not include the infant's mood for the day.

The hand washing sink in the after school classroom was observed dirty with hard water stains. Corrected at Inspection: The sink was cleaned during the inspection.

A bucket of water was observed in the kitchen entrance, where there is no door, creating accessibility for the children in the toddler room which is next to the kitchen. Note: The bucket was removed during the inspection.

During diaper changing in the toddler and pre-k room proper washing of hands was not observed.

Sanitation of diapering equipment between each diaper change in the toddler room was not observed.

Chemicals were observed accessible to children in 4 different areas of the operation. *This was corrected at inspection when chemicals were removed/stored out of reach from children.

Last fire drill was conducted on 2/21/24.

Carbon monoxide detector was last tested on 12/27/23 and was observed not functioning. *This was corrected at inspection when the batteries in the carbon monoxide detector were replaced and the carbon monoxide detector was tested.

There were 13 infants under the care of 2 caregivers. The Specified Age Group was 0-11 months old. Child/Caregiver ratio was deficient by 3 children. NOTE: This was corrected during inspection. 3 infants were picked up by their parents and ratio was met.

Two non-walking 11-month-old infants nap on floor mats instead of a required individual crib. This was confirmed by caregivers during inspection.

Fire inspection was not completed timely. Last completed inspection dates 1/24/2022.
