The use zone to the front/rear of the swing was overlapping the use zone of a slide nearby. There were also other items in the use zone such as a play house and playschool car.

The operation did not notify Child Care Regulation of the change in the outdoor space. The outdoor play space has been increased. This was corrected at inspection as Child Care Regulation is now aware of the change in space.

There are two large oleander plants in the fenced in outdoor play area near a picnic table. These plants are accessible to children in care when outside.

There were three children related to the primary caregiver that were not originally included in the ratio and they were not participating in group activities with the rest of the children. One was watching tv in a bedroom while the other two were asleep in bedrooms.

The operation does not have a diaper changing table or a smooth, non-absorbant surface to be used for diaper changing.

Seven children in care were observed participating in outdoor activity time in an unfenced area which includes a patio and a play structure. There is a fenced in play area however it was not in use by the children in care at the time of the inspection. This was addressed with the caregiver and the operation will no longer used the unfenced area, only the area that is already fenced in.

There was a wading pool stored in the fenced in outdoor play area. This was addressed and the wading pool will be removed from the outdoor play area and stored appropriately.

There is a large trampoline accessible to the children in care and it was being used for school-aged children.

Two children were observed having their diapers changed and they did not wash hands afterwards. This was corrected at inspection when it was addressed with the caregiver and both children's hands were washed.

The wading pool was not stored properly. It was upright with a tarp covering it, however, it could still hold and accumulate water. The wading pool will be removed from the outdoor play area.

A wading pool had not been drained or sanitized. There were two inches of water that was discolored and there were a couple of moths in it. The wading pool will be removed from the outdoor play area.

The primary caregiver was lacking 1 hour of annual training in the topics covering shaken baby syndrome, SIDS, and early childhood brain development.
