In one class, non-sleeping children did not have an alternate activiity for naptime. This was corrected when the teacher provided the non-sleeping children acitivities to play with during naptime.

Cots, blankets, and books were observed being stored next to toilets during the inspection.

One infant was observed not having their hands washed after getting a diaper change. This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver was instructed to wash the infant's hands and the caregiver washed the infant's hands.

Four infants were observed in cribs with loose sheets.

One infant was observed in a crib laying on top of a sleep sack that they were not wearing. This was correct at inspection when the sleep sack was removed.

It was found during an investigation that a caregiver was over ratio by 5 children.

It was found during an investigation that a base board was coming off the wall and rust was observed on the wall and on a sink pipe accessible to children. This was partially corrected at inspection when the rust was cleaned off the wall.

It was found during an investigation that the criteria used to determine weather conditions limiting outdoor play is not included in the operational policies.

It was found during an investigation that while the operation had regular professional pest control treatment, the operation staff had also treated for ants without being certified to do so.

It was found during an investigation that multiple rooms were observed without trashcan lids.

The operation hadnt updated the children's products form since 2023. This was corrected during my inspection.

Out of ten staff files reviewed, one staff was missing proof of emergency preparedness training, four staff were missing proof of administering medication training, three staff were missing proof of building safety training, two staff were missing proof of hazardous material training, and one staff was missing proof of maltreatment training.

One caregiver was present without a completed background check. This was corrected at inspection when the director had the caregiver leave.

An operation allows a person to be present at the operation before receiving notice from the CBCU regarding the person's eligibility. The person was immediately removed from the facility during the inspection, bringing the facility into compliance.

During an investigation, there was sufficient evidence to support that a caregiver did not demonstrate good judgment when composing and sending a message to a parent of a child in care.
