There was a mop bucket with liquid in it accessible to children. This was corrected during the inspection when the mop bucket was emptied.

One of the dogs in the home had expired vaccinations.

The primary caregiver did not sanitize the diaper changing mat after changing a child's diaper. This was corrected during the inspection when the caregiver was reminded about sanitizing the changing mat and she sanitized the mat.

A child did not wash hands after getting their diaper changed. This was corrected during the inspection when the primary caregiver was reminded about handwashing and took the child to wash hands.

The primary caregiver was missing 23 hours of annual training, including four hours of child development, six hours of management training, and training in emergency preparedness, administering medication, preventing allergic reactions, injury prevention, and handling hazardous materials.

Out of four children's records reviewed, two were missing health statements, one was missing the parent's acknowledgment that they received the parent handbook, and one was missing a physician's information and consent to emergency medical treatment.

There was a swing set with a multiple occupancy swing.

There was a playset with a slide that was placed under the empty swing bay of another play structure.

There was a hose in the backyard where the children were playing. This was corrected during the inspection when the primary caregiver put the hose away.

The children in care were watching a movie, and one of the children was 23 months old. This was corrected during the inspection when I informed the primary caregiver that children under two cannot have any screen time and she turned off the television.

Multiple outlets in the home were missing covers. This was corrected during the inspection when covers were placed in the outlets that were missing them.

The primary caregiver's husband did not have record of completing orientation to the childcare home.

Several outlets did not have covers. This was corrected during the inspection when the primary caregiver put covers in the outlets.

Out of four children's records reviewed, three were missing a date of admission, one was missing physician's information and a health statement, and one was missing school information.

There was no recorded fire drills, severe weather, or lockdown drills for 2025. During the inspection, a fire drill was conducted and the children were able to exit in less than three minutes.

One dog had an expired rabies vaccination.

The children's product recall verification form was last signed in 2022.

The primary caregiver was missing 3.5 hours of annual training, including training in communcable diseases.

The first aid kit was missing scissors, adhesive tape and a guide to first aid.

The parent handbook was missing information on parent's rights, contact information for Child Care Regulation, and information on how to view the most recent licensing report.

The operation has not completed a fire drill since July of 2023.

During the inspection two dogs were observed a the operation without proof of vaccinations.

Based on the investigation, it was determined that 4 unrelated children were in care that meet the definition of regular care by the State of Texas.
